Petrolimex Gas Joint Stock Company (PGC), an affiliate of the Vietnam National Petroleum Corp (Petrolimex), will inaugurate the first phase of northern biggest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storehouse October 14 this year in Haiphong city.
In the first phase, PGC has built two LPG spheral basins with a combined storage capacity of 3,000 tons of gas in addition to other related facilities.
Apart from its major functions to store LPG to fuel industrial, trade and household demand, the Dinh Vu LPG storehouse will be able to reserve Butane and Propane separately to supply for the nation’s chemical industry and other industries with special needs.
The 2.28-hectare, six-basin facility has a designed storage capacity of 10,000 tons and cost a total of VND400 billion (US$25 million).
Its capacity will be scaled up gradually in the second phase starting from January of 2009 and in the third phase from December of 2011. (Investment)
