The Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank), the country’s second listed biggest bank, has received the “Vietnam Best Bank 2008” award given by the U.S. leading magazine Global Finance, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Viet Nam reported.
Selection criteria for the award include stable growth, brand value, strategic vision, risk management, stable earnings, ability penetration and human resource development in 2007 and the first half of 2008.
Early this year, Global Finance named Sacombank as the “Best Foreign Exchange Bank” in Vietnam in 2007.
Sacombank is recognized for trademark value, financial efficiency, solidity of income, business strategy, sale capability, risk management, productivity, marketing, investment in human resources and potential of development.
Last year, Sacombank was also rated as the Vietnam Best Bank 2007 by Euromoney and the Vietnam Retail Bank of 2007 by Asian Banking & Finance. (Vietnam Economic Times)
