The Ministry of Transport has said that Vietnam plans to invest VND50 trillion (US$3 billion) to build 136 kilometers of a highway to run through four northern provinces and cities, the state-run Phap Luat Viet Nam newspaper said.
Deputy Minister of Transport Ngo Duc Thinh was cited as saying that the project plan worked out by the Transport Engineering Design Inc within the Hanoi’s regional expansion planning.
Thinh did not specify further about contractor and construction schedules. (Vietnam Law)
