Dong Nai Plans Long Thanh Int’l Airport Construction

Dong Nai province has unveiled the development plan for the 21,000-ha area surrounding the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport, the largest of its kind in Vietnam. The planned region includes four sub-regions in 12 communes in Long Thanh and Cam My districts, excluding 5,000 ha for the Long Thanh International Airport.
 
The northern part of the airport, near Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Highway and Ben Luc - Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway, will have 5,720 ha for airport staff accommodation, services, resettlement and green space.
 
The southern part, with an area of 4,400 ha, will be used for an international transit centres, industrial parks and green space.
 
Agricultural production and rural residences will be located near the northeast and southwest runway with a total area of over 10,000 ha.
