The Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai province licensed 34 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered value of nearly US$600 million this year to date, and allowed 44 projects to supplement capital by a total of US$445 million.
The Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority said new FDI projects are mainly involved in engineering, electronics assembly, satellite equipment, and food.
Dong Nai province reported have 1,287 licensed FDI projects valued at US$22.5 billion as of August 2012, of which more than 1,000 projects are valid, including 820 projects in production.
