After handing VND2.4 billion to the education sector of Lao Cai province on July 12, 2014 to finance school construction in Ban Qua commune, Bat Xat district, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Youth Union of Centrally owned Enterprise Bloc, Lao Cai province, and Bat Xat District People’s Committee to commence on the construction of Ta Ngao Primary School and Ta Ngao Secondary School in Ta Ngon village, Ban Qua commune.
Built in 2009, the mixed Ta Ngao primary and secondary school was the only school in Bat Xat district but the combined education proved to have low quality. Based on the suggestion of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Youth Union of Centrally owned Enterprise Bloc and Lao Cai province, Vietcombank invested VND2.4 billion to build eight classrooms and administrative divisions. Vietcombank Youth Union and Vietcombank Lao Cai Branch are responsible for doing the investment. The work will be done in five months and completed in December 2014.
