Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, on 13th October, in cooperation with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and other local associations, celebrated the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, meeting with exemplary enterprises and entrepreneurs who have made positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
Making opening remarks, Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Nghe An People's Committee congratulated enterprises and entrepreneurs on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day. He appreciated the efforts of enterprise and entrepreneur community of Nghe An, who in recent years have been very dynamic and creative in overcoming difficulties, active in finding markets and effective in production and business organisation, contributing greatly to the development of the province.
Mr Hoang Quang Phong, Director of the Membership and Training Department of the VCCI thanked the Provincial Party and the People's Committee for organising Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day solemnly and successfully. He noted the support and favourable conditions for enterprises in recent times of Nghe An authorities, which have helped reassure businesses in this difficult period.
Sharing with entrepreneur community of Nghe An, Mr Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party, appreciated the recent efforts of entrepreneurs and wanted them to always unite and accompany the authorities to gradually overcome difficulties and develop sustainably. He confirmed that the provincial leaders would always create conditions for enterprises, resolutely get rid of officers harassing or being troublesome to businesses within the state apparatus to help businesses gradually remove hard constraints, develop production and contribute more for the construction and development of the country.
In an open and friendly atmosphere, leaders of professional associations in Nghe An thanked the provincial leaders at all levels in all sectors for their concern and proposed the provincial authorities facilitate them to remove difficulties and obstacles in administrative procedures, tax incentives, access credit, improve the business environment, etc. to gradually help businesses overcome difficulties and move towards sustainable development.
Currently, Nghe An has more than 10,000 active enterprises. In the first 9 months of the year, these businesses submitted approximately 60 percent of revenues of the province's budget to the state budget. Besides contributing to socio-economic development, Nghe An entrepreneurs are always at the forefront of the movement for poverty reduction and humanitarian relief, contributing to ensuring social welfare work. In recent years, the province has always considered businesses and entrepreneurs the basic elements, the driving force of the economy and the nucleus of socio-economic development. Annually, the provincial leaders always accompany and create favourable environment for businesses and entrepreneurs for investment, production and business development.
