Fostering the position and brand of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), VNPT Vinh Long has invested in building telecommunications infrastructure with advanced and modern equipment, and a broad network from urban to countryside. Up to now, the company is running more than 660 base transceiver stations (BTSs) that broadcast 2G, 3G and 4G mobile frequency bands.
In addition, the VNPT fiber optic network has covered rural, remote and isolated areas, residential areas, tourist sites and industrial parks in the province, helping improve service quality such as landline telephone, mobile phone, internet, data transmission, television and online conferencing, to meet maximum needs of customers, especially to promptly, safely and effectively serve activities of Party and government agencies, organizations and enterprises.
On February 10, 2017, VNPT and Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement on telecommunications and information technology in the 2017-2020 period in Vinh Long province and supporting the province to build e-government. After three years, the cooperation agreement was fulfilled by VNPT (specifically, VNPT Vinh Long) and the provincial government obtained positive results. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee always supports VNPT to synchronously develop telecommunications infrastructure, apply and test VNPT's telecom and IT service products at agencies and departments.
Powered by Industry 4.0 achievements, VNPT is strongly transforming conventional telecommunication services into digital services by diversifying IT products. Up to now, the company has converted over 50 products and services such as: online tax declaration (VNPT CA), online social insurance declaration (VNPT IVAN), electronic invoice, document management and administration (VNPT ioffice), electronic information portal (VNPT Portal), electronic single-window software (VNPT-IGate), paperless meeting room (VNPT-eCabinet), health service (VNPT His) and smart travel system.
Besides, VNPT has supported building a free wifi system in Vinh Long Square, setting up a live broadcast bridge for major events and public holidays. With its efforts, VNPT Vinh Long has effectively accompanied the building of e-government and smart city, meeting the needs of socio-economic development of the province.
