Hanoi Hosts "Famous Trademark 2005 Fair"

The famous trademark 2005 fair is now being held by the Ministries of Information and Culture, Science and Technology, and Trade and the Vietnamese Center of Fair and Exhibition, the Intellectual Property Department, Trade Promotion Department and the Association of Standard and Customer Protection

 

The six-day fair has attracted 201 domestic and joint venture enterprises nationwide displaying their products on more than 300 stalls, up 100 booths against the previous year and 150 against 2003.

 

It is the third consecutive year that the fair has been  arranged.

 

Covering on an area of 1,000 sq.m, the fair is showcasing such products as electricity and electronic equipment, informatics, machinery, and construction materials, interior furniture, footwear, cosmetic, medical facilities and tourism services.

 

The Famous and Prestige Trademark 2005 titles will be awarded on November 10 to trademarks that have been registered both in Vietnam and abroad, are favored by consumers, have quality management systems, and offer after sales service, according to Tran Viet Hung, Deputy Head of the Intellectual Property Department.

 

Following is a workshop on registering and promoting trademarks abroad to be held on November 11, drawing the participation of both foreign and domestic companies.
