Korea Life Insurance Co., Ltd Opens its Hanoi Representative Office

On Thursday 23 Mar 2006, the Hanoi Representative Office of Korea Life Insurance Co., Ltd (Korea Life Insurance) made its debut in a formal ceremony at the Sheraton Hanoi hotel, marking the first presence of Korea’s life insurance business in Vietnam.

As the first Korean life insurer to open its representative office in Vietnam, given its Hanoi presence, Korea Life Insurance has prepared for an important task in its strategic extension over the potential international market in general and the luring Asian market in particular.

“This opening ceremony is the firm’s first significant step in an effort to contribute long – accumulated experience to the development of Vietnam’s insurance and finance industries. It will actively act as an integrated factor for the improvement of Vietnamese people’s life and social welfare”, said Mr. Yun-Hoi Kim, Chief Representative Office.

Currently, the office is actively carrying out market research and working in cooperation with Vietnam’s insurers. Aside from that, insurance experts have also been carefully trained as a preparation step for the firm’s future establishment in Vietnam. From this point, the company is set forth to draw out a general marketing strategy with the aim of turning out outstanding services to cater for its competition with other firms in the local market.
