The first international environment technology fair is scheduled to open on April 14-18, 2006 at the Vietnam Fair and Exhibition Centre in Hanoi hosted by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE), the Environment Protection Bureau and Global Expo.
93 organisations and companies from eight countries have registered to participate, including 51 foreign companies. Of which, Korean firms account for two fifth. The Korean side will also cooperate with Vietnam to held a seminar entitled “Access to environmentally-friendly technology and equipment”.
Vietnamese advanced environmental equipment and technology will be introduced at the fair, including planting organic vegetables without soil, gas-fueled motorbikes, seraphin waste disposal technology, hospital waste burning, plastic waste and nylon bag recycle, and others. The fair will also witness the launching of “Vietnam fresh air network”.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, VACNE President, under the fair’s framework, MoUs and contracts, worth VND200 billion so far, between Vietnam and foreign partners regarding natural and environment protection will be signed.
