Vietnam’s first international fair on farm produce processing, packaging and protection was opened in the Vietnam Agriculture Fair Center in Hanoi on May 9 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
At the fair, Vietnamese and foreign businesses, including those from Europe and Asia, showcased their products in more than 60 stands. They introduce the latest machines, production systems and equipment for agricultural product processing, packaging and protection.
The fair is acknowledged as an opportunity for the Vietnamese farm produce processing industry to show its potential, to attract more foreign investment into the industry to raise the quality and competitiveness of Vietnamese farm produce in the world market.
Several seminars on improving the quality of farm produce for international integration will also be held during the fair and are expected to step up the integration process, trade and investment activities, and transfer processing, packaging and protection technologies.
The fair will run through to May 12, according to the MARD.
