Southern Binh Duong province is estimated to export US$4.5 billion in the eleven months of this year, up 27.5 per cent on year, local Pioneer newspaper reported Thursday.
The foreign-invested economic sector is expected to export US$3.3 billion worth of items, up 28.6 per cent on year, accounting for 73.2 per cent of the province's total export revenues.
The province has targeted exports revenues of over US$5 billion in this year.
In the period of eleven months, woodworks reached US$1.17 billion, up 44.6 per cent on year, apparel exports US$814.2 million, up 50.6 per cent on year, footwear US$679.8 million, up 10.4 per cent, handicraft products US$203.6 million, up 51.1 per cent on year, electronics US$195.9 million,
48.3 per cent on year.
Meanwhile, rubber latex exports reached only US$88 million in the January-November period, down 6.9 per cent on year, instant noodles US$25 million, down 7.2 per cent.
By the end of October, it also attracted US$1.04 billion of FDI and 1,023 domestic projects valued at VNDVND4.8 trillion (US$302 million), contributing to the province's export revenue growth. (Pioneer)
