The Sao Kim Joint Stock Company has become the first Vietnamese business meeting the standards of the Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) of the World Health Organization (GMP-WHO) in pharmaceutical materials, said the Health Ministry at the awarding ceremony October 18.
The company has so far got all certificates of GMP for materials and products as well as Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Safety Practice (GSP) of the WHO, the ministry noted.
Sao Kim specializes in producing materials for malaria medicines. Its products made from the local plant “Thanh hao hoa vang” (Artemesia) have met the domestic demand for malaria drug production and have been exported to many countries. (VNA)
