The first Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) business forum and dialogue among ACMECS leaders will take place in Vietnam’s capital city of Hanoi from November 6-7, the Cong An Nhan Dan (People’s Police) newspaper reported.
The forum will create a good chance for businesses to discuss and outline measures to facilitate trade, investment, tourism activities and economic cooperation in the region.
All initiatives will be informed to five Prime Ministers of ACMECS members during the dialogue of ACMECS leaders.
Around 400 businesses from ACMECS’s member countries, international organizations and big investors from Japan and South Korea are expected to attend the forum.
ACMECS is a cooperation framework amongst Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam to utilize member countries’ diverse strengths and to promote balanced development in the sub-region. (People’s Police, www.acmecs.org)
