P.B.C Infrastructure Development Service Joint Stock Company: Effectiveness in All Projects
P.B.C Infrastructure Development Service Joint Stock Company was set up in February 2004 by three founders: PISICO Corporation, Kim Cuc Construction Company and BMC Construction Company. In May 2004, PBC started work on infrastructure construction in Nhon Binh Industrial Complex (Binh Dinh Province). The 47-hectare industrial complex includes 34 hectares of leasable land and 43 hectares for public utilities and supporting systems. When the project was kicked off, it received strong appreciation and applause because it was a new investment model in the province. The presence of PBC is seen the exemplary model because the infrastructure construction is usually undertaken by the State while the Nhon Binh Industrial Complex is wholly private-invested. After the ground-breaking, in parallel to infrastructure construction, PBC immediately called for tenants. The attraction of investment capital for Nhon Binh Industrial Complex was quite favourable. Several investors rented land in the complex and the leasable area was fully occupied in 2006.
Following the success in industrial complex development, PBC extended its business arms to real estate and commercial centre development. The first real estate project is the VND24 billion (US$1.5 million) Ha Thanh villa complex in Quy Nhon City, with 11 villas and total investment capital of VND24 billion. At present, the investment is basically finished and the villas will be transferred to buyers in early November 2008.
After the completion of the Ha Thanh villa project, PBC will take on the 1.6-hectare An Nhon commercial centre in An Nhon District, Binh Dinh Province. To date, investment procedures are basically completed and the construction on the project is expected to start in early 2009.
Muoi Thu Fish Sauce Production Co. Ltd: Unique Taste and Top Quality
Muoi Thu-trademarked fish sauce was created in 1950 and has become a local specialty. However, the fish sauce has become popular in the latest 10 years. The product won a number of gold medals, gold cups and titles at trade fairs and contests. Remarkably, Muoi Thu fish sauce won the "Vietnamese High Quality Product" title voted by consumers from 2002 to 2008.
The quality is always an advantage and important foundation in the development history of Muoi Thu fish sauce. However, the trademark breakthrough was started from the company’s fold investment decisions. In 1993, when the market-oriented economy was expanded, Muoi Thu fish sauce was sold very well. The demand usually exceeded the supply of the company. Seeing the opportunity, Mr Thu decided to borrow VND150 million from a bank to invest in production. With the new money, he started building factories and tanks, buying materials and recruiting more employees. After systematic investments in factories, the company’s production surged significantly.
In 2002, when the domestic fish sauce production was expanded and the competition stiffened, Muoi Thu decided to invest more than VND10 billion to build two factories covering 1.1 hectares in An Nhon District to boost output. With new establishments, Muoi Thu can annually supply million litres of fish sauce. Muoi Thu’s two new factories are rated the most beautiful and cleanest in Vietnam.
To integrate and develop in the market economy, Muoi Thu has applied the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system to production. In August 2008, Muoi Thu Fish Sauce Co. Ltd was set up and is building the third factory to meet the growing demand in the domestic and international markets.
