Lang Son Trading and Production JSC: Continuing Growth

 

In the course of doing business, the company has obtained many good results. Therefore the company was assigned by the Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee to build Nam Hoang Dong Urban Zone in Lang Son City, the capital of Lang Son province. This is the largest, most modern and synchronised project in Lang Son City, covering 77 ha and costing nearly VND1,000 billion. The project is located in the Dong Dang - Lang Son Economic Zone, on the first point of the Lang Son - Hanoi - Haiphong - Quang Ninh Economic Corridor in view of developing “two corridors, one economic belt” between Vietnam and China, and on the ASEAN - China Link. The project has fully functional areas, such as commercial zones, semi-detached houses, villas, hospitals, schools and amusement parks to meet development needs.

With the ultimate goal of becoming a strong and reputable company in the eyes of partners and customers, the leadership of the company always focuses on improving operating quality. Together with building Nam Hoang Dong New Urban Area, the company achieved all other business plans.

 

Business result in Jan-June 2015: Export - import revenue: US$3 million, or 107 percent of the plan Gross revenue: VND89.3 billion, or 99 percent of the plan Tax payment: VND6.1 billion, or 72 percent of the plan Net profit           : VND1.3 billion, or 52 percent of the plan Income per capita: VND4 million a month

The company has honourably awarded the Third Class Labour Order by the President of Vietnam for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the cause of socialism construction and fatherland defence in 2011; and the Certificate of Merit from the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for its outperforming achievement in 2010-2012. Besides, the company received the Certificate of Merit from Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee for its outstanding business achievements from 2011 to 2014; the Certificate of Merit for excellent workforce in the campaign to fulfil State tasks and plans from 2011 to 2013; the Emulation Flag from Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee in 2011 - 2014; the Emulation Flag from the Government of Vietnam in 2011 and 2013; the Emulation Flag from the Lang Son Confederation of Labour for strong trade union in 2013. In 2014, Mr. Ho Phi Dung, President and CEO of the company, was honoured to receive the title “typical entrepreneur of Lang Son province” in 2014.

 

Remarking on business and investment environment, Le Duc Ha, Deputy Director of the company, said, Lang Son province has much improved its business and investment climate to draw a lot of companies to do business here. This is a very positive signal for the province to further enhance its business and investment climate. The local government needs to reform administrative procedures concerning business registration, tax and customs, and reduce the time required for each work done. Transparent and public policies will help reduce bureaucracy at the service of businesses. Lang Son province needs to train high-quality human resources and provide business support services. The Provincial People’s Committee together with its subordinates should consider specific business support policies.
