GMS Business Summit in Hanoi

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), which includes Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, is one of the region's most dynamic cooperation frameworks. In celebration of its 25th founding anniversary, the 6th GMS Summit is scheduled to take place from March 30 to 31, 2018 in Hanoi. Within the framework of the 6th GMS Summit, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GMS Business Council will host the GMS Business Summit on March 30.

The GMS Business Summit will be attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Ministers of Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, high-level leaders of China and Myanmar, leaders of international organisations like ADB and WB, hundreds of companies from GMS countries, and international corporations interested in cooperation with GMS nations.

The event comprises the GMS Business Council Extended Meeting (March 30 morning); Dialogue with Prime Ministers, Senior Leaders, Ministers of GMS countries (March 30 afternoon); Gala Dinner hosted by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc (March 30 evening); and Plenary Session of the 6th GMS Summit (March 31).
