Hanoi Transerco Launches 'Bus Culture Building Movement'

The Hanoi Transportation Service Corporation (Hanoi Transerco) on April 28 officially launched the programme called 'A Joint effort to build a bus culture' with an aim at improving the quality of the corporation’s services. This is part of the Vietnamese Government’s urban public transportation development strategy.

Hanoi Transerco has always attached importance to improving the awareness and understandings of the traffic laws and customer services for its drivers and staff members. This is to attract more people to use public transportation services.

Nguyen Trong Thong, deputy general director of Hanoi Transerco, said that in the first half of 2005 the corporation transported 81.3 million passengers. The number of passengers was put at 25.3 million in April, or 7,166 passengers per day for 42 routes.
