Hanoi Expo 2005 Attracts over 200 Enterprises

The 2005 Hanoi International Trade Fair (Hanoi Expo 2005), which was organised by the Hanoi People’s Committee in co-operation with ministries and central agencies, took place from October 6-13 at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre, 148 Giang Vo. This was an activity to mark the 51st Liberation Day of Hanoi, October 10, and more importantly the 995th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. Therefore, the A1 building was used to introduce and exhibit socio-economic development and cultural achievements, trade activities and investment projects of Hanoi and other localities nationwide. With over 300 indoor and outdoor pavilions, a wide variety of products were exhibited, including electric equipment, electronic appliances, information technology products, machines, equipment, production line, construction materials, textiles and garments, footwear, cosmetic products, medical equipment and materials, and insurance, banking services and products of traditional crafts.
 
The event attracted over 200 enterprises popular among Vietnamese consumers, such as the Hanoi Trade Corporation, the Vietnam Automobile Corporation, the Dong Xuan Knitting Company and the Nagakawa Company.
 
Activities at the expo included a seminar on ‘introducing enterprises to join the e-commerce portal’ on October 7 and a presentation ceremony of certificates of merit for enterprises on October 12 that attracted many enterprises and visitors.
