Binh Duong Sets up Wood Export Warehouse, Wholesale Market

The People’s Committee of Southern Binh Duong province has allowed local wood export and processing firms to actively market their products to customers and supply imported materials. The Tien Timber Corporation has built a 50-hectare timber raw material market in Tan Uyen district, while constructing a warehouse to receive imported woods, ensuring the imported products enter the locality within 60 days of contract signing, instead of 90 days as before. The warehouse has a vacuum facility capable of processing 40 cubic meters of timber at a time and supplying 150 containers of wood monthly. Besides, Ho Chi Minh City’s Gosaco also invested VND40 billion ($2.5 million) in setting up a wood wholesale market in Tan Lap District to ensure the export of 30,000 cubic meters of wood yearly.
