Vietravel Hanoi - Launching Many Attractive Promotions for Tourists

If the summer of 2004 was considered a successful business season of tourist companies, so 2005 is so far considered a boom tourism year with a sharp increase in the number of tourists. Integrating into the general exciting atmosphere of the tourist season, Vietravel Hanoi has launched many attractive promotions for tourists in parallel with many new tour offers.

The start of this summer season was marked with a series of four consecutive holidays on the occasion of 30th Anniversary of the National Unification (30th of April) and the International Labour Day (1st of May). According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, Head of the Foreign Tourism Division, to this point in time, the number of tourists registering for foreign tours increased significantly. The country generating most interest is Singapore. Mrs. Mai also revealed that for five days travelling in Singapore currently Vietravel Hanoi charges only of US$269 (not including airport fees) – the best promotion price never seen.

This summer, Vietravel Hanoi is continueing to provide two of the favourite and most successful tours from 2004 such as the domestic “The Heritage Route” (Phong Nha – Hue – Da Nang) for seven days and the: “Discovery of the ancient civilisation” (Dubai- Egypt - Bangkok) lasting for 8 days. Taking part in these tours, visitors can see and contemplate the masterpieces and relics from ancient times.

Those who have financial capacity and are interested in architecture as well as wishing to “escape” from a hot winter, can go on tours to France and Italy or England provided by Vietravel Hanoi. According to Mrs. Mai, this is a suitable time for marketing these potential tours.

Beside the traditional foreign tours like Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China or other tours to Europe, this year, Vietravel Hanoi has already developed new tours to South Korea. Mrs. Mai told us that the reason the company designed this tour is the increasing number of tourists registering for South Korea due to the influence of Korean culture through Television and films. However, of more importance is the new policy of the Korean Government allowing Vietnamese citizens entering South Korea for tourism purposes. This is the first year this new tour has been opened and therefore, the price is still low. The package price is only about US$1,198 for a tour of seven days to Seoul and Jeju Island (the Island of Love in South Korea), staying at a four-star hotel including air travel. Despite its low rate, Mrs. Mai said that the quality of services will be the same, because of Vietravel Hanoi’s high quality services.

For domestic tourists, thanks to improved living standards, the demand for tourism becomes higher year after year. According to Mr. Hoang Tuan Tu, Head of the National Tourism Division, this year, the tourists registered for the tours on 30th of April and 1st of May focused on new tourism spots of Van Chai Resort, about 2km from Sam Son Beach and Tuan Chau Resort - Ha Long Bay. Currently, Vietravel Hanoi is paying attention to the development of long tourism activities and the introduction of new products named “the Legend of Highlands”. Mr. Tu said that, this is an attractive tourism destination. Taking part in this tour, visitors can travel on the Lac Lake in a dug-out canoe, enjoy Ruou Can wine (the wine drunk from a jar through pipes) and ride elephants in a mountainous village. This tour is specially designed for those who love to have new feelings and make new discoveries.

To attract tourists this summer, Vietravel Hanoi has applied a unique promotion campaign under the name “A flaming summer”. With this promotion programme, tourists can select for themselves the most suitable and attractive tours. According to Mrs. Mai, through this attractive promotion, Vietravel Hanoi would like to send its thanks to its clients for their confidence in the company’s services in recent years.
