First City-gate Carwash Station Opens in Hanoi

Thang Long Environment Service Joint Stock Co. has recently put a city-gate carwash station into operation in Dong Ngac commune, Tu Liem district, Hanoi.

The station is the first of several carwashes to be built in the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi under an environment project conducted by the city’s Service of Transport and Public Works.

The station, with an investment of VND400 million (US$25,310), is capable of cleaning up to 1,000 vehicles a day with a washing fee ranging from VND2,000 to VND5,000 each.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, deputy director of the Hanoi Service of Transport and Public Works, said similar carwash stations are at 83 Ly Thuong Kiet St, 519 Kim Ma St, Den Ferry and near the Parliamentary House.
